Change The Owner Name Using Registry Editor

Monday, March 30, 2015
Install Windows on your PC and you'll be asked to enter your name, which is then stored as the registered owner (run WinVer to see this on your system). If you've got a second-hand PC, you probably want to change the name stored as the registered owner. There's no obvious way to do this, and that's where the Registry comes in.

Open Run and  type regedit then browse to

'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion' and you'll see both a 'RegisteredOwner' and 'RegisteredOrganization' value. Double-click either to change them.

Windows 10: How To Enable Cortana

Friday, March 27, 2015

If you are outside United States, you may notice that Cortana won't work for you. That's because Cortana, like in Windows Phone devices, is only available for United States region, at least, for now.
Acording with Gabriel Aul, more languages and regions are coming.
If you really want to have a taste of Microsoft's personal assistant, you can enable it.
I will present two ways, the second one I am sure it will work, however requires more work than the first one.
Well, as in Windows Phones, the way to enable Cortana consists in changing region and language settings. However, I noticed that that is not necessary at all. I have found a setting, in Search app, to enable Cortanawhile my region was set to Portugal and my language was set to English (not U.S but U.K.)

1. Enabling Cortana through Search App
On task bar, you have might notice there is a Search bar. Click there and a window will show up. On top, left side, click in the menu icon followed by Settings

As show in the picture, I have an option to enable Cortana. I am not sure if I have this option because, when I installed this Build, by performing a fresh and clean installation, I have set up my Region for United States and my language to English (United States). In case you haven't this option available, go to second procedure, else just change setting to On
Now you have to set up Cortana in very few steps
You are ready to enjoy it!!

2. Enabling Cortana (the infallible process [IMG])
This is definitely the way to activate Cortana.
First, go to Panel Control (right click over Start Menu button). Select "Clock, Language, and Region" from the right hand side. Then click on Region, and change the following:
  • In the "Formats" tab, set format as English (United States)
  • In the "Location" tab, set Home Location as United States
  • In the "Administrative" tab, set Current System Locale to English (United States)

Make sure that English (United States) is set as your primary display language, otherwise none of the above changes will work. If you don't have it installed go to Add a Languageand choose it from the list. Then set as primary.
Restart your PC, now you will be able to use Cortana

And you're done. Enjoy!

Fix This "Audio Format (AC3) Is Not Supported" In MX Player

Friday, March 27, 2015

MX Player is popular media player in Android platform with lots of Audio and video formats supports and most android users like to play their media files on this player. But in the recently updated version of MX player users are facing codec issue with audio formats like "audio format is not supporting" and most of this problem is with AC3 audio format.

AC3 is a file extension for surround sound audio files used on DVDs format. The AC3 file format was created by Dolby Labs for use in a Dolby Digital audio on DVD, Blu-ray and other digital video formats.Ac3 used to play DTS and DOLBY DIGITAL audio that give you Home theater like sound output.
But due to some license issue MX player had to remove AC3 from its codec and that's why MX player can't play AC3 audio ,and the sad thing is that most movies (like Dual Audio) come with ac3 Hindi audios. So is there any way to play these audio files ? This is possible if you use custom codec and this is what i am going to tell you. So follow below some easy steps to fix this .

  1. Download this All in one custom codec zip file from :Link
  2. Done! Now put the zip file (don't unzip)to root directory of you SD card
  3. Now start MX player and instantly you will get notification like "custom codec found" so install it and restart your player
Now you can play any AC3 audio format movies even if you update it again to latest version no problem the added custom codec won't be removed.

How to get direct download links in Google!

Thursday, March 19, 2015
Ok in this tutorial I'll show you guys how you can get direct download links in google directly by just adding a term to the search bar. This trick will get you links for mp3, videos etc. and will show pages without displaying any ads. It is a short method so this tutorial should not take long,

For this you just have to put the following in the google search bar,

To download movies, perform a Google search as below:

“YOUR SEARCH TERM HERE” -inurl:(htm|html|php|pls|txt) intitle:index.of “last modified” (mkv|mp4|avi)

Example:
Titanic -inurl:(htm|html|php|pls|txt) intitle:index.of “last modified” (mkv|mp4|avi)

You can use this search trick to download not just movies, but almost any file.

For instance, to download music,

“YOUR SEARCH TERM HERE” -inurl:(htm|html|php|pls|txt) intitle:index.of “last modified” (mp3|wma|aac|flac)

Just change the file format [(mp3|wma|aac|flac) part] to your required format and you will get a search result of sites containing direct download links to your search query. Enjoy!

More info for the techies
Google primarily searches based on the search term. It filters search results according to the other parameters.
The -inurl parameter excludes search results which have the words htm, html, php, pls, or txt in their url.
The intitle parameter returns search results with the title containing the expression that follows it. In this case it returns results containing the character sequence "index.of" where the '.' is replaced by any character. For example the title may contain "index of", "index/of" or "indexaof" or any other character sequence with the '.' replaced by any character.
Finally the (mkv|mp4|avi) focus on search results which have one of the terms mkv, mp4 or avi.
The resulting search after all the filtering is very likely to contain some movie URL.

How to download entire Websites!

Monday, March 16, 2015
This tutorial is for those who want to download entire website for maybe offline reading or for analysing the CSS and styling scripts or just to show off! This is a windows environment tutorial but the same can be applied for any Linux or Mac OS.

For this I will be using a command line tool known as wget. Windows user can get the software from this link wget. I prefer for installation you use a drive other than the default which is in the installer.
The reason I am saying this is because when you wget from default directory you get the location of your download content be rather absurd. But let's just jump to the tutorial!

Step 1: Well for the absolute beginner it would be to open the command prompt. So let's begin with that. For this you need to open the command prompt and redirect to the folder where wget is present.
Example:If it's in the F: drive which is actually where it is for this example . You need to go to a subdirectory inside it namely F:\wget\bin

Step 2:Once you are there just write this simple command

wget ‐‐execute robots=off ‐‐recursive ‐‐no-parent ‐‐continue ‐‐no-clobber "The website"
Example: wget ‐‐execute robots=off ‐‐recursive ‐‐no-parent ‐‐continue ‐‐no-clobber http://example.com

Now you should see the response something like this,

It should now have saved the whole website in a directory inside F:/wget/bin

And you're done!
